This week, our 7th and 8th grade teachers participated in an engaging and enlightening professional development session as we prepare to launch the JCMS STAR Academy!

The STAR Academy is a specialized academic program designed to provide 20 selected students in each grade level with personalized, research-based instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Through targeted interventions, innovative technology, small-group instruction, and hands-on learning experiences, students will receive the additional support and enrichment needed to strengthen their academic skills, build confidence, and accelerate achievement.

Our teachers are excited and equipped to provide an engaging learning environment that will help these students reach their fullest potential.

🎉 Join us for the official JCMS STAR Academy Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, July 31, immediately following Convocation. We look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with our families, community partners, and stakeholders as we continue expanding opportunities for student success.

💙💛 Tomorrow is the BIG day! 💛💙

Our JCMS Jr. Beta Club students will take the national stage tomorrow morning at the National Beta Convention in Nashville, Tennessee! They have worked tirelessly, practiced with dedication, and are ready to showcase their talents with excellence.

We ask our JCMS family, alumni, parents, and community to join us in lifting our students and sponsors up in prayer. Pray for confidence, peace, safe travels, and outstanding performances as they proudly represent Jefferson County Middle School and our community.

No matter the outcome, we are already proud of the hard work, perseverance, and heart they have shown throughout this journey. Now it’s time to shine!
