This is the goal! We know everyone’s schedules can get crazy busy, so we have tried to include the most relevant information in the most concise way possible: one day to help direct your future career!

Dancers come from every sort of background with a multitude of varying experiences. Although some have performed a ton, many have never gone through an actual audition process. We walk you through what to expect (from slating, to wearing numbers, to having to regurgitate a quickly learned combo in front of a panel), and give you a chance to see what the first step of becoming a professional dancer is really like.

Each attendee then schedules a personal consult with our talent agent .talent to go over the judge’s feedback!

We have worked hard to create a supportive environment for dancers looking to go pro. Let us take some of the guesswork out of the process!

We love hearing back from our BTDC dancers and parents! We had the best time in Nashville yesterday presenting our professional audition workshop along with taking lots of gorgeous pictures! Can’t wait to hear how spending the day with Breakththru’s dance industry leaders impacted our dancers!

Meet Tosha Marie, born and raised in Nashville, TN, where she trained at the Bellevue Dance Center, but left after graduating from Hume-Fogg. She went on to Oklahoma City University as a Dance Performance major and was part of The American Spirit Dance Company, the hip hop and step team OCU Rhythms, and the OCU Theatre Department.

Tosha has been in numerous stage productions, industrials, commercials, TV shows, music videos, and films throughout her career. She has been blessed to be able to perform at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Rocketown, The End, Nashville Shores, Nissan Stadium, The Ryman Auditorium, The Grand Ole Opry, First Horizon Park and many other great local theaters in Nashville and Oklahoma City.

Although she enjoys performing, Tosha feels called to be a dance teacher and choreographer. She has been teaching dance for 12 years now. You may have seen her critically acclaimed choreography for Pull-Tight Players, Gaslight Dinner Theatre, Larry Keeton Theatre, Circle Players Theatre, Street Theatre Company, and Murfreesboro Center for the Arts. She has taught at Belmont University, Lipscomb University, Vanderbilt University, Columbia State Community College, Centennial High School, Christ Presbyterian Academy, Father Ryan High School, Nolensville High School, Brentwood Academy, Chattanooga Christian, and is the choreographer for the award-winning Ravenwood High School Musical Theatre Program. She is a Teaching Artist for the Disney Musicals in Schools program through Tennessee Performing Arts Center, as well as a teacher for the Spotlight Awards honoring High School Musical Theatre programs in Tennessee. 

As Tosha is expanding her horizons into the business side of the arts, she has joined the Arts and Business Council as Creative Exchange Planning Committee Chair and is also starting her journey as a producer.

Ya’ll meet Nashville resident dance queen Laurin Floyd!

Choreographer / Singer / Songwriter

Laurin Floyd has been in the entertainment industry for more than two decades. Her extensive experience in the entertainment industry includes singing and dancing on stage and in videos with major artists including Toby Keith, Brenda Lee, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and Steven Tyler, to name a few.

Laurin has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Super Bowl MMXIV, the NFL Thanksgiving Half-time Show, The Grand Ole Opry, The CMA Awards and The American Music Awards. Currently, Laurin is the Senior Choreographer at Matt Davenport Productions, creating original choreography for Cruise Ships, Music Videos, Theme Parks, numerous National tours, and Nashville’s own General Jackson Showboat!

We’re so excited to have Laurin share her wealth of expertise as an industry leader in the dance world!

Originally from Chattanooga, TN! Tiffany has been dancing since the age of three and is a graduate of Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts. Throughout high school and after, she spent eight years dancing in various shows at Dolly Parton’s Dollywood and even performed along side Dolly herself. She went on to work for Celebrity Cruises and Princess Cruise Lines as a MainStage dancer. After performing and traveling the world on ships, she went back to East Tennessee where she was dance captain in the #1 ranked show in the Smokies, Country Tonite!

Tiffany then headed out to the west coast where she made Las Vegas her home with only one goal in mind, to be a dancer in Vegas style shows! Not only did she obtain that goal, she also was cast to perform in numerous Las Vegas International Lingerie Shows, America's Got Talent, and Las Vegas Broadway Bares! Tiffany also danced in a long-standing resident show, Bite and served as Company Manager and was a featured dancer in X Burlesque on the Las Vegas Strip.

Tiffany continues to dance professionally for various corporate industrials and performance gigs here in her new hometown, Nashville, TN, while also working at F45 Training as the Studio Manager and Head Fitness Coach.
