Do you truly care about other people, your colleagues, your family, your friends? Then focus a little more attention on yourself!
I had to learn this too!
Investing dedicated time and, when possible, allocating funds into your own self-development and personal wellness should be at the forefront of your thinking every day.
I had to ask myself, “what can I do today to help make tomorrow better?”
If you are like me, then you are a mentor and a role model. Maybe you’re the boss. Maybe you’re a parent. In these roles you have a responsibility to those who look up to you.
Celebrate your current good behaviors as a win!
But, what behavior could you add into your day today so that you can show up even better tomorrow?
Prioritize this way of thinking.
Remember, you are a mentor and a role model. Folks are watching. How are you modeling behaviors worthy of imitation?
Today is the best time to become a “Selfish Mentor”, when you acknowledge your important role in the lives of others, that your decisions for yourself will impact those in your circle, and that the best way to show up as your best self is to do the things that are best for YOU.
Make a positive impact. Invest in yourself.
