We’re apparently an ice skating family now. 🤷🏻♀️ The girls helped design their own costumes for their skating competition and they were super clumsily put together by me. But I think they turned out pretty cute🤩 Plus, they did awesome skating!

I almost forgot how much I love teaching sewing. It’s been too long, but these goobers reminded me how incredible it is to watch kids learn a new skill and spark excitement as they work. So proud of their work and the amazing shorts they made! (Except Evan, who decided he wanted a bag instead 🙃)

Sooooometimes you get a little cocky and you assume you probably have enough fabric for the coat you are winging it on a pattern for. And then sooooometimes you accidentally cut your already sparse fabric incorrectly because you’re watching outlander instead of paying attention. And then soooometimes you have to dig for scraps in your stash that can look semi intentional. And then soooometimes it comes out cuter than you really planned for. (But also sometimes you sort of still hate it just the slightest amount because you look at it and see the major headache it was to produce.🙃)
