to last week when members of our lab traveled to Seattle to participate in the 2023 Northwest Early Learning Pyramid Summit.

ML joined Cree Whelshula and Dr. Martina Whelshula from for the keynote presentation. Throughout the week, our lab enjoyed meeting so many Pyramid champions while presenting about Practice-Based Coaching and new Pyramid Model module content!

We also enjoyed exploring downtown Seattle!

Congratulations to the newest PhD in the Hemmeter Lab, Dr. Trudy Little! Trudy defended her dissertation, a single case study evaluating the effects of Practice-Based Coaching on teacher use of Pyramid Model practices in kindergarten classrooms! We are so proud of you and admire your perseverance, mentorship, and focus on providing the highest quality support to teachers!

The Pyramid Model goes international 🌎 and her colleague .fox from were in Ireland this weekend sharing our work on a systems and program-wide approach to Pyramid Model implementation at the 18th World Congress for the World Association for Infant Mental Health (.of.waimh)

It’s official…Dr. Abby Taylor defended her dissertation today, sharing the results and implications of her study “An Adaptation of Stay-Play-Talk for Young Children with Internalizing Behaviors.” Abby’s compassion, empathy, and solutions-focused approach to her work has been invaluable to our team! We are so proud of you 👩🏻‍🎓
