Time to introduce another board member! Next up: Lauren

Lauren Bonfield is the Founder and Principal of Grey Development & Co., () where she leads with a deep belief that real estate should serve people and strengthen communities. With over a decade of experience in real estate development—including project management, construction oversight, and strategic planning—Lauren has helped deliver impactful mixed-use, affordable housing, and early childhood education projects throughout the Southeast.
In addition to her professional work, Lauren enjoys DIY projects and spending quality time with her family. She is honored to serve on the board of Equally Created and contribute her skills to support the mission and growth of the organization. We truly appreciate her drive and guidance 👑

Behind every mission is a group of passionate people helping make it possible💛

We’re excited to introduce the incredible Board of Directors over the next few weeks! First up: Sarah

Sarah Herrick serves as Co-Chair of the Equally Created board and is also an EQ parent. She was initially drawn to EQ by its mission to make childcare more accessible—a mission that has come to life before her eyes. What’s kept her engaged is not only seeing that vision in action, but also the intentional, thoughtful care her son has received during his time there.

Professionally, Sarah works at Dream Streets () another Nashville-based nonprofit focused on advancing equity and access.

In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her husband, son, and friends. We’re so grateful for her passion and leadership 👑

As we celebrated our teachers last week for Teacher Appreciation Week, our South Nashville location also took the time to recognize our “Star of the Month” - the Explore Room!

These students have been learning about butterflies and gardening, counting in both English and Spanish, and have been focusing on the letters “B” and “E”. None of this would be possible without the dedication, encouragement, and care our teachers provide each and every day.

Thank you to the incredible teachers at both of our locations for the lasting impact you make in the lives of our children and families every day. 👏🍎📚🥹

Yesterday, she had the privilege to speak on a panel at the Nashville Early Education Coalition breakfast. We’re so proud of you for advocating with other leaders around Nashville on the importance of high-quality early education for ALL children!
