We are excited to welcome Robson as one of our seminarians studying here during his propaedeutic year at Aquinas College. Propaedeutic Studies students complete a two-semester internship course as part of the certificate program. The Internship in Parish and Priestly Ministry experiences are completed in parishes across the Diocese and provides the new seminarians diverse experiences, giving them a better idea of the multiple responsibilities of a parish priest.

Meet our first seminarian in the Propaeduetic Program, Robson (Rob) Ferreira. He is from Brazil and studied in Italy for a few years prior to coming to Nashville. Rob hopes to learn a lot from all of us here at Our Lady of the Lake and help in any way he can.

"I am very happy and grateful for the warm welcome I have received in Nashville and now also at Our Lady of the Lake Parish. For me, all of this is an expression of God’s providence in my life and confirms my decision to say “yes” to His call. Thank you, Our Lady of the Lake family. May God bless you all!"

Please join us in praying for him in this discernment process, that he may always do God's will.

The new academic year at Aquinas College began with an opening Mass of the Holy Spirit, celebrated by Bishop J. Mark Spalding. Students, faculty, staff, and friends of the College gathered in prayer to seek the guidance and blessing of the Holy Spirit for the year ahead. Following Mass, all present enjoyed a luncheon that provided an opportunity for fellowship and conversation. The event reflected the spirit of joyful communion that animates Aquinas College.

Aquinas College welcomed back to students to campus this week.

This month marks the start of the 66th fall semester at Aquinas College. New Student Orientation, campus tours, friendly introductions, and urgent questions about the location of various classrooms have been some of the familiar sights and sounds of the beginning of another academic year. Please keep the students, faculty, and staff of Aquinas College in your prayers as we seek to grow both in wisdom and in deeper in communion with God and each other.
