It's a new year and new semester! So that means it's a new chance to take your training to the next level!!! SUBSISTENCE is the educational program of TMProductions. We are a non-traditional studio dedicated to training our students in more than just steps. In SUBSISTENCE, students learn what it actually takes to make it as a performer in the real world. Whether its dancing, singing, acting, or a combination of the three, our students leave with knowledge and skills they didn't even know they needed to know. In Subistence students 5th-13th grade get the opportunity to train in multiple styles of dance every Saturday. Our students will also have audition opportunities and outside professional gigs that they will have the choice to submit for. We have a relationship with several agencies and casting directors and we are always trying to get our students professional experience as soon as we can.

We are so thankful to Jef Ellis and the First Night Honors for recognizing all of the hard work that went into our first ever production! Pippin was nominated in every eligible category! Thank you to everyone who came and supported our show. We are so proud of every single person who was a part of Pippin and we know how truly blessed we are!
Congrats to all of the other nominees! Several shows that rehearsed at TMProductions were nominated as well!
Our owner Tosha Marie was nominated for Leading Actor in a Play for her performance in School Girls; or the African Mean Girls Play, which was also nominated for a slew of awards. She was also nominated for Outstanding Choreographer for her work on Rent with Nashville Repertory Theatre, and another original show she worked on (Johnny and the Devil's Box) at Cumberland County Playhouse was also nominated.
Tosha was also nominated for Theaterati of the Year, an award dedicated to celebrating those in Nashville who go above and beyond to serve their theater community! She is ridiculously grateful and humbled to be among such incredible individuals in our wonderful community!

Our youth program Subsistence has grown exponentially this year! We have so much gratitude towards our students who work hard every week - plus, a few of them had the great opportunity to work in our professional production of Pippin! We wish to give real-life opportunities and experiences to our students as much as possible, and they always rise to the occasion!
