On Sunday night we stopped by Phat Bites, a popular hotspot in the heart of Donelson to visit Sarah, a 2025 graduate of the Professional Bartending School of Nashville. We definitely picked the right night to visit because the bar was rocking. They have the best food, amazing drinks, super friendly clientele with fun regulars, and the music was jamming.

Sarah’s built up a huge following at Phat Bites which had previously been featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives“ on the Food Network. She loves a fast-paced bar and she can definitely handle a crowd because she never stops moving. Sarah attended our school because she wanted to become a better bartender despite people telling her bartending school was a waste of time. Get Your 2 Year ABC Server Permit/TIPS Certification to legally serve alcohol in Tennessee. If you serve alcohol in any capacity (server, manager, food runner, bartender, etc.) you must have an ABC Server Permit or you and your employer can face big fines.

We have an ABC/TIPS class scheduled this Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 10:00am – 3:00pm (Arrive at 9:30am). Get your server permit this weekend to serve alcohol just in time for summer events and festivals. We have another ABC/TIPS class scheduled for Monday, June 29th from 5:00pm to 10:00pm (arrive at 4:30pm). These are the last two ABC Permit/TIPS classes until after the July 4th weekend so don’t put it off.

Classes are held at 1451 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville TN in Suite 154 on the 1st floor. By attending our class you’ll receive both your TABC Permit and your TIPS Certification for the same price. Some of the nicest hotels and bars will only hire you if you’re TIPS Certified. The TIPS certification is recognized in all 50 states and over 45 countries. DACA/Immigrants with various statuses can now get their Server Permit to serve alcohol in Tennessee!

Our trainers make sure that you actually receive your ABC Card so beware of online scams. Snacks and coffee are provided. Dee, recently graduated from the Professional Bartending School of Nashville and the next week she bartended her first wedding. She served a variety of cocktails to a fun group of guests who danced the night away at a beautiful location outside of Murfreesboro. Dee and the other bartender from our school were paid $50.00 an hour plus tips and both ended up going home with $600.00 a piece.

On a side note, we found out the Bride’s brother had attended our program 4 years ago and had bartended his way through college even buying his first car from the tips that he had made. Bartending was flexible allowing him to make great money but still have time to study.

Congratulations to Kevin one of our newest graduates of the Professional Bartending School of Nashville. Kevin attended the accelerated program this last week and absolutely rocked the one week program passing it with flying colors.

Kevin had previously been in the banking business and has had various management positions in banking and retail for the last 20 years when he decided he wanted a change. Being in Nashville he understood there was a demand in the service industry for good servers and bartenders so he chose to attend our program.
