When I , I was always afraid of being left out. I wanted to fit in so badly!

But it was hard.
I had hand-me-downs, stained at times, always covered in fuzzies and pet dander. I had trouble finding clean clothes, so I often wore dirty ones. It wasn’t a path to feeling like I fit in…

…even before the risks of fitting in at school but not being able to have others over…🤦🏽‍♀️

Perhaps those experiences because of having a are why it’s so important to me to create safe spaces to see others, welcome them, reflect back to them their value, and encourage them to become the best person they can be.
