We are excited to host 19 7th and 8th grade Black girls from the Nashville area to the institute. This program is sponsored by our TIPs grant from Vanderbilt University. The girls will live in the dorms, engage in social science research, take courses, have a movie night, Black girl magic activities, and learn that being a Black girl is amazing!
We have dope chaperones, instructors, and volunteers all whom identify as Black women. What a feeling for our girls to be surrounded by people who look like them.
More photos and posts coming when the institute starts!
