No matter what stage of the musical journey you find yourself, you have probably encountered this experience in some way. I remember the feeling of this excerpt all too well!
Here is a perspective shift I wish I would have realized when I was younger:
βPlant good seed for tomorrow, but harvest the crop that you have today!β
Dreams are fun to engage in for a minute or two and can be an idea of life later on, but too much focus on them can rob you of the enjoyment of the gifts God has given you today.
Never squander or underestimate the value of a day of life!

I love the idea of solopreneurship, but an old friend of mine, who is in the same niche, and I have recently decided to team and up and start working together instead of trying to do everything alone.
Even though everything is 50/50 now, it feels so much better to have a friend with me on the business journey.
Do any of you have that same situation? What are your thoughts?

One of the saddest things we have told ourselves is that the "Learning process never ends."
When you are passionate about something, you want to be great at it, so it's difficult to be content when you are trying to hit a moving target of greatness.
One of the biggest advantages you can give yourself is to understand and believe that the knowledge you have to learn is actually limited, which is actually true!
The fun part, which is the actual skill of the activity, is finding out how much you can create with all that you do know!
Be proud of whatever level of skill you achieve and understand that you don't have to know it all to be successful!
Have a wonderful week!

Here is a good way to think about your creativity!
When you are learning to play an instrument, creativity is an area you want to spend a lot of time exploring. BUT!!!
What you are going to sell is called a Product! (I know what you're thinking, "thanks captain obvious!)"
What I mean is this:
Creativity is awesome, but practice producing something from your instrument. In the most literal sense, think of yourself as a Producer.
To put this into practice:
Take one chord and challenge yourself to product something right then and there with your instrument that you could hear as an intro to a song on the radio.
If you want to take it up a notch, add more than one chord as you become comfortable.
That is how you develop real world musical skill!

3 skills every musician should learn at some point!
1. Writing (literally storytelling and how to craft clear communication)
2. Recording (How to craft a rough sketch of your idea inside of a DAW)
3. Marketing (How to present or pitch your musical product)
It's overwhelming at first, but once you hone in on a routine, it gets easier.
