Having BT do a seminar at this school is a dream. His smooth wizardry and flow-state methodology is what makes him such a master. As a black belt under Shawn Hammonds, as well as being the head jiu jitsu instructor at NMMA, BT built his own legacy by dominating in competitions, and hs coached fighters all the into the .

It’s an honor to host him, and for so many of his own students to come train with us, we are grateful.

This is what martial arts are about- community, brother(sister)hood, family, honor, peace, and respect. Today was a gorgeous day to be on these mats.

No matter where you train, train. Use your body while you’re able. You get ONE life. Maximize the experience. Love all.

What a day at Music City Martial Arts / Team Shawn Hammonds HQ!

We had a great turnout for Shawn Melanson’s passing seminar, and he delivered from start to finish. Every detail had a purpose, every technique was battle tested, and everyone left with concepts they can immediately apply to their game.

In addition to his passing system, Shawn taught a devastating north south choke, breaking down the small details that make the technique so effective. His ability to simplify high level jiu jitsu and make it accessible to everyone is a testament to how talented he is.

We’re grateful Shawn made the trip to Nashville to share his knowledge and spend time with our team. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it an unforgettable seminar. We can’t wait to have him back on the mats again.
