ildhood educators are full of “little wonders” about the complex work of their practice and engage in deep thinking about that practice with one another. They feel supported and valued as professionals with a sense of belonging and ownership in Little Wonders.
• Families’ come together to puzzle through the “little wonders” that arise through the daily work of parenting. Families and teachers partner to best guide and support children. 🎶✨ **Making Music & Making Memories!** 🎵

Toddler A & B had SO much fun enjoying their **very first music class** last week! Our little musicians explored rhythm, movement, and all kinds of sounds while singing, dancing, and learning together. 🥁💃🎤

Music is more than just fun—it’s a wonderful way to support **listening skills, language development, coordination, memory, and self-expression** while giving little ones a chance to move, create, and build confidence. 💕🎶

We can’t wait to see where our little musicians take us next! 🌟

🎀⭕ **Simple Materials, BIG Learning!** ✨

We love discovering just how much learning can happen with simple items! Our little learners had so much fun exploring a hula hoop and ribbons, turning everyday materials into an exciting sensory and movement experience. 💕🎀

This simple setup sparked **curiosity, creativity, movement, and exploration** while giving our little ones opportunities to experiment, discover, and have lots of fun! 🌈✨

Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest smiles—and the best learning moments! 🥰

🌟🔤 **Learning Through Play!** 📚✨

Today our little learners turned letter recognition into a fun, hands-on adventure! They searched for specific letters and used a roller to mark each one they found. 🎨🔎

Activities like this help build **letter identification, visual discrimination, attention to detail, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration**—all while keeping learning playful and engaging! 🧠💕

We love creating opportunities for our little ones to **learn, explore, practice new skills, and grow their confidence** through play! 🌈✨

🌿👶 **Exploring Our 5 Senses!** 👀👃✋

Our older infants have been having so much fun exploring their **5 senses**! We’re incredibly grateful for our wonderful families who have been sending in items for our little learners to investigate and explore. 💚

From nature and feather sensory bottles to hands-on sensory experiences, our babies have been curious about it all! 🪶🌱 But the **biggest hit so far? Our herb exploration!** 🌿

Exploring herbs gives babies opportunities to engage their senses through **touch, smell, and sight**, while also introducing them to new and interesting flavors. These early food experiences can help build familiarity with a variety of healthy, flavorful foods and encourage a positive relationship with trying new things. 😋💚

We love watching those little faces light up as they discover something new! ✨

Our Older Infant classroom at Little Wonders Aventura is beginning to explore the wonderful world of **Loose Parts Play**! 💚✨

Loose parts play gives children the freedom to discover, explore, and create using a variety of open-ended materials. Because there is no "right" or "wrong" way to play, children are encouraged to use their imagination, solve problems, experiment, and make their own discoveries. These simple materials inspire curiosity while supporting cognitive, sensory, language, and fine motor development.

Today's loose parts invitation included:
🧶 Yarn
🪣 Small clear buckets
🥄 A spatula
🎶 A shaker
📦 Tissue paper sealed inside a zipper pouch

It’s amazing to watch how everyday objects become exciting learning tools in the hands of curious little learners. We can't wait to see where their imaginations take them!

😋 Who knew learning could be so delicious? ✏️
We wrapped up the week with a fun (and tasty!) Mat Man snack activity! Our little learners have been busy building and drawing Mat Man, an engaging way to learn how to draw people using simple shapes while developing essential early writing skills.

As children build Mat Man from head to toe, they're strengthening body awareness, practicing sequencing, improving fine motor skills, and laying the foundation for handwriting and drawing. Best of all, they don't even realize how much they're learning because they're having so much fun!

Ending the week with a hands-on, edible activity was the perfect way to celebrate all of their hard work. We are so proud of our little learners!

🌈 Learning is even more fun when it feels like play! 💙

As we continue exploring our All About Me: Favorites theme, our toddlers had a fantastic time using colorful foam shapes to build early math and language skills through hands-on exploration!

Our Twos sorted shapes by color, identified different shapes, counted their collections, and compared them with their friends. Along the way, we also shared our favorite colors, giving each child the opportunity to express their preferences, build confidence in communicating their ideas, and celebrate what makes them unique.

Activities like these encourage problem-solving, strengthen early math concepts, expand vocabulary, and help children develop important social skills—all while having fun!

🪄 Abracadabra… it's my name! ✨

A little art and a little magic made for a fun day in preschool! Our young artists used watercolor paints to reveal their names, which had been secretly written in white crayon. As the colors spread across the paper, their names magically appeared! 🎨

This engaging activity helped our preschoolers practice name recognition, strengthen early literacy skills, and build fine motor control—all while sparking curiosity and creativity. There were so many excited smiles as each child discovered the "magic" hidden on their paper!
