Invest! One piece of advice we need to give recent college and high school graduates entering the workforce is invest soon. Yes, most of us start out thinking, "But I can't afford that." Do not wait until you think you can afford it. Within 5 years of graduating, open something like a ROTH IRA, even if you can start with only $50 each month. Hopefully, you will be able to increase that amount later, but even if you can't, you'll be surprised how much that turns out to gain in investment and interests in 30 years.

Do you know someone interested in making a career change into school counseling? Salem College offers two online options for both those needing to complete a full school counseling master's degree and those needing to just add the school counseling-specific courses to a pre-existing master's degree in another approved area of counseling.

Salem College’s Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Counseling program has been nationally recognized by Forbes Advisor as one of the top Online Master's in School Counseling programs in the country.
