Who Were The Neanderthals? 11/17/2023

"Neanderthals had many unique physical features which distinguish them from living people. Some of the most noticable differences come from their skulls, which are strikingly large, and have an elongated appearance. Neanderthals had consistently larger brains than modern humans. The rear of their skull bulges outward, forming what is called an occipital protuberance. Neanderthals did not have a tall, flat forehead like modern humans. Instead, they had a bony ridge which draped over both their eyes. The nasal bones of these people are usually quite large, showing that their noses may have been particularly large. The rest of the skeleton is also characterized by unique morphology. Neanderthals were consistently shorter than modern people, and their limb bones were usually thicker with larger joints. Overall, Neanderthal morphology consistently falls outside of the range of variation seen in modern humans."

Dr. Robert Carter - The Spaghettification of Irreducible Complexity 11/16/2023

"Irreducible Complexity describes a system that requires all of its parts for it to function, i.e., a mousetrap. Cells need to make molecular machines, i.e., ATP synthase rotors. To make each protein to produce a rotor often requires hundreds of steps, but to produce those proteins, the functioning rotor is required. The 'spaghettification' of irreducible complexity is a true Achille's heel for evolution."

Where Did the Floodwaters Go? 11/14/2023

"Even today, our planet is a water world. Over 70% of the earth’s surface is covered in water. If the earth’s mountains flattened and the ocean floor uplifted, there would be enough water to cover the globe in an ocean almost two miles deep! The reason the planet is not currently overflooded has to do with its topography. Contrary to its catastrophic, eruptive start, the Flood is described as having a gradual, drawn-out ending. Many months passed before the earth was dry enough for Noah, his family, and the animals to leave the Ark. Psalm 104:6-8 provides us with some clues as to what was going on in the latter half of the Flood:

'You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they took flight. The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them.' (Psalm 104:6-8, ESV)

"The rise of mountains after the Flood seems to refer to mountain building. Similarly, the sinking of valleys seems to be referring to the deepening of ocean basins. According to the catastrophic plate tectonics model, the Flood’s destructive phase ceased when a buoyant oceanic crust replaced all of the original, pre-Flood seafloor. As the oceanic crust cooled, it became less buoyant. The ocean basins sank as a result, and the floodwaters were withdrawn from the landmasses. So, where did the floodwaters go? They are still here, in our ocean basins!"

Where Did the Floodwaters Go? If the world was completely covered in water in the days of Noah just like the Bible says, then where did it all go when the Flood ended?

Clear evidence for Young Earth Creation: can scientists accept it? 11/11/2023

In this clip from our sequel "Mountains After the Flood", geologists John Whitmore and Andrew Snelling talk with Del Tackett about the importance of their research project in the Grand Canyon. They discuss creation science and why it provides answers to evidence not found in the conventional scientific paradigm. Watch the entire film to see the fascinating results of their research.

The Impact of an Asteroid 11/10/2023

"In 1980, the father-son duo of Nobel Prize-winning physicist Luis Walter Alvarez and geologist Walter Alvarez suggested a crazy idea. Sometime in the past, an asteroid the size of Mount Everest made a crash-landing on planet Earth. They argued that this event caused one of the greatest extinction events in the history of life. While this idea intrigued some scientists, others found such a notion unbelievable. But as the decades went by, evidence mounted. This 'crazy' idea turned out not to be so crazy after all! The space rock in question, the Chicxulub asteroid, has forever reshaped our understanding about large-scale catastrophes of ancient times. How are we to understand this asteroid’s impact on the other events and timeline described in the early chapters of Genesis?"

Drepanosaurus Never Missed Arm Day 11/08/2023

"A recently-discovered fossil from the Triassic Chinle Formation of New Mexico has an arm with a completely unique and bizarre arrangement of bones. Described by Pritchard et al. in Current Biology, The fossil is a reptile called Drepanosaurus, and its forefinger is enlarged like a digging tool. That would be weird enough, but the lower half of its arms also have strange-looking wrist bones."

When Snakes Learned to Rattle 11/02/2023

"Anyone who has hiked the scrublands of the American southwest knows the distinctive sound of a rattler! It is a message to all but its prey: 'Stay away! I don’t want to bite you, but I will if I need to defend myself!' At that point, most people flee without a second thought. But have you ever paused to wonder how the rattlesnake learned to rattle in the first place?"

To find out, check out the rest of the article at the link below:

When Snakes Learned to Rattle Have you ever wondered how the rattlesnake learned to rattle? Did God create them with this ability? Or did it develop over time?
