Tiny hands. Big dreams. 🩺🔬🦸‍♀️🦖

This week, our Pediatric Specialty Interest Group welcomed the Little Bruins for Little Scientists: Healthy Heroes Summer Camp! Through hands-on activities, imaginative play, and plenty of curiosity, these future healthcare heroes explored the world of medicine and science in ways designed just for them.

As part of Career Compass, our career advising programming at the Frist College of Medicine, experiences like these help our students discover the joy of mentoring, teaching, and envisioning the many ways they can make an impact through medicine.

Here’s to inspiring the next generation of scientists, physicians, and healthy heroes; one little bruins-sized adventure at a time. 💙💛

Paws, popsicles, and a little peace of mind 🍧🐶

FCOM students took a well-deserved break at Pups & Pops, an afternoon filled with therapy dogs, popsicles, and wellness before the next study grind began. From puppy cuddles to frozen treats, it was the perfect chance to relax, recharge, and connect with the FCOM family. 💙

“Flourish: What Health Care Makes Possible” is a portrait gallery by award-winning photographer, William DeShazer, that tells the stories of immigrants and refugees who are patients of Siloam Health. This captivating portrait series highlights what is possible when immigrants in our city have access to health care - they are empowered to flourish in their work, their families, and their communities, and Nashville thrives as a result.

The portrait gallery and stories will be on display in the first-floor event room at the Thomas F. Frist, Jr. College of Medicine on Wednesday, March 11 from 11 am until 4 pm. Light snacks will be provided. For undergraduate students, this is a Well Core event.

Siloam Health is a faith-based nonprofit providing whole-person health care for the culturally marginalized. Siloam provides medical care for the underserved, promotes community health among immigrants and refugees, and offers student education for the next generation of health care providers.

Attend Flourish to witness the beauty and strength of our neighbors from many nations!

A little Valentine’s Day sweetness for our students 💕

We hosted a “Pop of Love” wellness break with popcorn, candy, and cookies! Just a small way to say we appreciate all the hard work they put in every day.

Sometimes a quick study break (and a sweet treat) makes all the difference. 🍪✨
