Hi! My name is Vicky Leger, and I have been teaching within the classroom and as a tutor since 2008. I am now offering my skills, passion for individualized learning, and desire to help every child find success and confidence in their God-given abilities to individual families. With me your child will enjoy sequential, hands-on, multisensory learning, lessons tailored to their specific needs, and learning that is both challenging and FUN!
Your child will benefit from the skills of an experienced educator along with the attentive, individualized learning available only in small group settings. As a veteran teacher I have a bachelor's and a master’s degree in elementary education with a specialization in reading and math, am trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading, and have years of experience in helping children expand their knowledge and improve their grades through tutoring.
I have openings this fall for both small group instruction (which involves three hours a day of reading, phonics, spelling, writing, science, and social studies instruction), and individual tutoring.
