Our students had a special visitor today! Patrick Davis from the Merrimack Solid Waste Division joined our classroom as part of their Project-Based Learning (PBL) project, “Giving Toys a Second Chance!”

Our young learners thoughtfully prepared a list of interview questions, and Patrick took the time to answer each and every one! Students learned more about recycling, watched a fascinating video about how a recycling facility operates, and even received recycling-themed coloring books and crayons to take home!

One of the highlights was sharing their very own toy factory, created from recycled materials! Here’s Patrick capturing a photo of their impressive creation alongside our proud students.

At Wellheart, we love seeing learning come to life through curiosity, meaningful conversations, community connections, and hands-on exploration.

A heartfelt thank-you to Patrick for sharing his time and knowledge with our students!

✨ A Night of Wonder, Connection & Joy ✨

Last night, our Wellheart parents stepped into the world of their children during our Provocation Night. An evening designed to experience learning the way our students do each day.

Throughout the classrooms, families explored thoughtfully prepared provocations that invited curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and discovery. Rather than simply seeing what their children are learning, parents had the opportunity to experience the process…to wonder, investigate, create, ask questions, and make connections together.

This is the heart of our Reggio-inspired approach. Learning isn’t just about finding the right answer. It’s about creating environments that spark ideas, honoring curiosity, and allowing learning to unfold in meaningful and unexpected ways.

We loved opening our classrooms to our parents and sharing a little glimpse into the magic that happens inside Wellheart every day.

At Wellheart, we take our learning outdoors every chance we get!

From tangrams and math equations to sight word relay races, music, Nature Science Lab, hands-on exploration, and picnic lunches, learning doesn’t have to stay within four classroom walls.

We believe children thrive when they have the freedom to move, explore, create, wonder, and learn in ways that feel joyful and meaningful. Whether they’re solving a math problem, making music, investigating the natural world, or simply sharing lunch together outside, the outdoors is an important extension of our classrooms.

Because sometimes the best classroom is the one outside.

🍂 Happy First Day of Fall! 🍁

There’s something especially beautiful about welcoming fall at Wellheart.

Fall reminds us that learning doesn’t only happen inside four walls. It happens when children notice the first leaves changing, feel the crispness in the air, collect treasures from nature, ask questions, make observations, and find wonder in the world around them.

At Wellheart, nature is our third teacher.

The changing seasons invite our students to slow down, notice, explore, create, and connect. They give children real experiences to investigate and real questions to wonder about. A pile of leaves can become a math lesson. An acorn can inspire a project. A walk outside can spark a story, a conversation, or an entirely new idea.

Miss Chelsi took full advantage of this beautiful fall day, spending much of it outdoors and bringing the season right into her math lesson. Students created five-frames using fallen leaves.

Just another day of learning where nature is the classroom, and kids get to be kids!!!

🌿Meet Miss Amanda I Administrative Assistant 🌿

Amanda Marusarz is a passionate early childhood educator and proud mother of one son. Raised in Nashua, New Hampshire, her journey in education began at her very first job as a daycare assistant at Marguerite’s Place, Inc., sparking a lifelong devotion to community wellness and young hearts. Over the course of her career, she has held diverse leadership roles, serving as a director for non-profit residential programs and sitting on boards where she helped guide hiring, event planning, and organizational growth. She brings a deep personal fascination with neuroscience, Ayurveda, and creative writing to her work, always guided by the gentle belief that our surroundings shape our inner selves. For Amanda, the Reggio Emilia approach is a beautiful, natural way to nurture a child’s innate curiosity, rhythm, and joy.

Before joining Wellheart, Amanda spent time as a Lead Preschool Teacher at The Growing Patch in Weare, where she cherished guiding play-based discovery and forming warm, lasting bonds with children and their families. As an RYT 200 certified yoga teacher, she also founded Peaceful Roots Early Childhood & Family Wellness to bring mindful care, emotional regulation, and peaceful connection to local educators and childcare communities.

Amanda believes that every child and family deserves to feel deeply seen, wrapped in care, and truly at home in their school community. As Wellheart’s Administrative Assistant, she draws on her broad administrative and leadership background to be a bright, welcoming face each day, creating a smooth, happy flow for the school and holding space for a vibrant Reggio-inspired culture to bloom. When she isn't at school, you can usually find her sharing sweet, creative moments with her son; hiking, drawing, writing, or getting lost in a good video game together.

What an incredible first day.

There was a special kind of excitement in the air today as our Wellheart community came back together—and as new families, new students, and new friendships became part of our story.

There were smiles, curious questions, big welcomes, and so many moments of connection. Our classrooms were filled with energy and wonder, while outside, children spent hours learning, exploring, creating, moving, and simply being together in nature.

We are so incredibly grateful for our amazing staff, who bring so much heart, creativity, intention, and joy to the work they do every day. Watching them welcome students into their classrooms and create spaces where children feel known, valued, and excited to learn was truly something special.

And then there were the little moments—the ones that remind us why Wellheart exists. A new friend made. A child confidently exploring something unfamiliar. Laughter outside. A shared discovery. A teacher kneeling down to listen. A group of children completely immersed in their surroundings.

This is Wellheart.
A place rooted in connection, community, curiosity, and nature. 🌿

Year One was the beginning.
Year Two feels like we are truly growing our roots.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful first day. Here’s to an incredible year ahead!

We hope everyone enjoys their last day of summer vacation! Take some time today to slow down, soak it all in, and reflect on your favorite moments from this summer. And tonight, as your children are tucked into bed, we hope they take a moment to think about the memories that made them smile and begin dreaming about all the hopes, goals, and adventures they have for this upcoming school year.

Tomorrow is the beginning of something very special, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back to Wellheart!

🌱 A Few Reminders for Tomorrow 🌱

School Drop-Off: 8:10–8:20 AM
Classes Begin: 8:30 AM

For the first day only, parents who would like to walk their children into the building may do so at 8:45 AM. We know this first day can feel exciting (and maybe a little emotional!), so we want to give families the opportunity for a special first-day goodbye.

Please make sure your child comes prepared with:

💧 Water bottle
👟 Indoor shoes
🥨 Snack...nut free
🍎 Lunch...nut free
🌤️ Clothing appropriate for the weather

And most importantly… come ready to wonder, explore, create, connect, and learn!

We are so incredibly excited to begin another year of growing together as a Wellheart community. Tomorrow, a new chapter begins.

Get a good night's sleep, and we will see you in the morning!

Today was such a special day at Wellheart as we welcomed our families for our Meet & Greet! There was so much excitement in the air as families walked through our beautiful spaces, explored their children’s classrooms, met their teachers, and began to imagine all of the learning, growing, and memories that will fill these rooms this year.

We are so incredibly blessed by the team of educators we have at Wellheart. These are teachers who don’t just teach our children, they truly see them, know them, encourage them, and love on every single child. That is at the heart of who we are as a school and community.

Behind the scenes, our teachers and staff have been working so hard all summer. From planning, preparing, creating beautiful learning environments, organizing materials, dreaming up projects, and getting everything ready to make this a meaningful and joyful year for our students.

We cannot wait to welcome our Wellheart children back and watch this incredible community come alive again. Here’s to a year filled with wonder, connection, curiosity, creativity, and lots of love.

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year, Wellheart! We are so ready for you!
