Br. Ray looks on as we kicked off the 2026-27 school year with our Opening Assembly this morning.

Principal Strniste and Student Body President Julia Balzano spoke to the entire school about this year’s theme — “Be More” — and the importance of challenging yourself, embracing the more difficult path and discovering how those choices can lead to a more rewarding experience.

The Bishop Guertin Class of 2030 had their formal orientation today, taking another big step into life as Cardinals! They met their advisors, walked their schedules, got plenty of help from our mentors and staff, enjoyed lunch together as a class and, of course, met .

And that was just the formal stuff! The morning started with loud cheers at the doors and a walk through the iconic gauntlet.

We also welcomed the newest Cardinals in the sophomore and junior classes today with transfer orientation in the Beaumont Center.

It was a perfect day to officially welcome the Bishop Guertin Class of 2030 to Lund Road and begin their journey as members of the BG community!

Our student-mentors welcomed our newest Cardinals with games, scavenger hunts, icebreakers and plenty of other activities designed to help them connect, have fun and feel at home.

A special thank you to The Browne Center for joining us and adding even more fun to an already great day!
