Day 2 of the IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament

Luke's tournament came to an end after he lost his first match of the day today. Luke worked through some serious adversity just to get back on the mat at the end of the season, and wraps up an impressive junior year with a 32-10 record.

Wyatt also dropped his first match of day 2, ending his tournament run. He had a very solid sophomore campaign at the 215 pound weight class, ending with a season record of 39-20.

Lincoln loses two hard nosed matches today, one in the quarter finals and then in the blood round, coming up just short of getting onto the podium this year. He ends a very solid sophomore season with a 46-11 record.

Jagger takes care of business in his first match of the day, earning a spot on the blood round, but drops a tough one, also coming up just one win shy of the top eight. He wraps up a great sophomore season with a record of 51-9.

Devon also got things done in his first match of the day today, giving himself an opportunity to wrestle for a spot on the podium. Unfortunately, things didn't work out in his favor, and he too just missed standing on the podium. He wraps up his senior year with a 53-8 record, and a career record of 157-62. His leadership this season and commitment to the program are a huge reason for the successes the team has been able to achieve. His presence will be missed!

Day 1 of the IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament

Huck goes 1-0 and advances to the quarter finals.

White goes 2-1 and advances to day 2.

Munn goes 0-2 after a couple hard fought matches, ending a very solid sophomore campaign.

Zwanziger goes 2-1 and advances to day 2. He also picks up his 100th career victory in the process!

Vance goes 0-2 after two competitive matches to wrap up a great junior season.

Blanchard goes 1-1 and advances to day 2.

Iriarte goes 0-2, battling tough all the way through, finishing his freshman season in Des Moines.

Bearman goes 2-1, advancing to day 2.
