Do you play violin, viola, or cello?
Have you been playing for at least a year?
Are you confident reading sheet music?
The NCMS String Ensemble is an all ages / all levels community string orchestra. This multi-generational group of musicians comes together weekly to rehearse in preparation for ongoing performance opportunities.
Looking for a fun way to collaborate with other string players? Look no further!
Rehearsals are held at the Hunt Memorial Building (6 Main Street), just across the street and around the corner from NCMS! Feel free to park at NCMS and walk over to the Hunt.
During the school year, rehearsals continue weekly culminating in several special performances! The ensemble is led by Mr. Dan Buchner and assisted by Brittany Stockwell. Thanks to a team of generous donors, String Ensemble is free for all NCMS families. For new community members, String Ensemble is $40 per month. Consistent attendance at rehearsals during the academic year contributes to the ensemble’s success at concerts & performances, but enrollment is rolling.
Not sure about cost? If you qualify for a scholarship award, your participation in String Ensemble will be FREE! Apply for a scholarship via our website nashuacms.org/scholarship
