We are delighted to announce that we have applied for full secondary, diploma-granting recognition by the State of New Hampshire.

In anticipation of approval, we are announcing an inaugural full secondary cohort of students who will be in grades 7-9 this fall (2026). We will be working with these students as we add grade 10-12 and they progress towards graduation.

At The Harkness House, we know that in order for students to be truly engaged in the creative process of education, they must be given the freedom and autonomy that comes from the small class setting.

🚨 EFA Applications Open March 16 with New ScholaVia Application System 🚨

For the first time, families will apply through ScholaVia, a newly developed online application system designed to make the process faster and more responsive for New Hampshire families while providing immediate feedback throughout the application process.

ScholaVia includes several new features:
✔ Real-time document review using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology
✔ Instant feedback indicating whether submitted documents meet program requirements
✔ The ability to see your place in line and estimated grant award once your application is verified
✔ Live chat support with CSF staff during office hours

The name ScholaVia reflects the mission behind the program. In Latin, schola means “school” and via means “path” or “way,” representing the idea of helping families find their own educational path.

📜 Governor Kelly Ayotte has issued a formal proclamation declaring January 25–31, 2026 as School Choice Week in the Granite State.

As the proclamation states, “Families should have the freedom to choose the educational setting that best meets the needs of their children.” That principle includes public schools, private schools, homeschooling, and other education options.

At Children’s Scholarship Fund New Hampshire, we are proud to support families as they navigate those choices through Education Freedom Accounts and Education Tax Credit scholarships.

We’re so excited for feasting season! We kicked off the Thanksgiving Break today with our own breakfast feast, featuring the delicious Harkness Smash Sausage Sammy. Today we’re grateful for a half day, a week break, and all the learning and growing we’ll do in December! And we’re always supremely thankful for our school community—teachers, trustees, parents, grandparents, and, of course, our students. Thank you all for this tremendous trimester!
