We’re Hiring! 🌿 Montessori Children’s House Teaching Assistant (with opportunity for growth - Lead Guide in Training)

📍 Nashotah, WI | 🕗 8am–4pm | 📅 Start: August 2026

Lake Country Montessori School is seeking a warm, collaborative Montessori Classroom Assistant to join our Children’s House (ages 3–6). This role includes mentorship and professional development with the opportunity to grow into a Lead Guide position.

Ideal candidates have Montessori training (AMI/AMS 3–6 preferred or in progress), experience with young children, and a passion for fostering independence, respect, and a love of learning. However, we are open to candidates who do not have any Montessori training/experience but are willing to learning.

Lake Country Montessori prepares children between 18 months and 6 years old for life by providing an authentic Montessori environment that fosters respect for themselves, others, and the world in which they live, as well as responsibility, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

LCM’s Children’s House is a unique environment which is carefully prepared to include more than just “class work”. It is a small version of the world, scaled down to a child’s age and ability level. At Lake Country Montessori our teachers don’t just teach children to learn what is in the lessons, they encourage them to fully explore subjects and continue exploration in the areas that catch their interest.

The Lake Country Montessori Toddler Room is rooted in the Montessori Philosophy and aims to help children grow in independence, self-discipline, social and emotional awareness, and physical development of the body. This is why Montessori is more than just childcare, we provide toddlers with an ideal environment to make the most of this irreplaceable period of time.

🌳 Lake Country Montessori Has a New Home🌳 With LOTS of room to grow our new space is located at W329N4476 Lakeland Drive, inside the 🏫 Old School House in Nashotah Wisconsin!

🤩 We are enormously thrilled with the many benefits our new school location holds for children in Lake Country and Waukesha County for years to come! 🧒👶👧

Our new space provides exciting opportunities to 🌱 grow our attendance and provide a place for families with children 18 months to 6 years old to learn and play with an inviting environment that encourages curiosity and fun.

With 🍃 green space 🍃 connected to our space Lake Country Montessori School students will also be able to enjoy the wonderful outdoors all year round! There are so many things students can learn from the environment just from looking at plants and animals or observing the way things grow.

We are also excited to connect with the 🙋‍♂️ local community 🙋‍♀️ to spread the word about the programs we offer in our Children's House and Toddler Room.

We are proud to have created a 👩‍🏫 special learning environment for children in the Lake Country area, including Hartland, Pewaukee, Delafield, Oconomowoc and Waukesha for 👦children between 18 months and 6 years old 👧.

A child’s school experience is significant in their young life, and a Montessori education is unique in its approach. 🏫 Lake Country Montessori was founded in 2001 and offers preschool and kindergarten education programs.

✏ Due to the techniques used in Montessori, we are able to enroll new children throughout the academic year.

📑 We admit students on a first come first served basis. In the event a program is full, we will admit based on a submitted application to the waiting list.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Our programs are designed to meet the needs of both children and families through specific goals and objectives. We focus on building off of the strengths of each child, taking advantage of every teachable moment.

Our beautifully designed toddler environment allows movement, encourages independence and reinforces language development for children 18 months old to 3 years old.

This is the beginning. This is where the groundwork for the intrinsic rewards of a Montessori education is laid. Children work independently in long, unstructured work periods to develop concentration and independence.

🌳 BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Lake Country Montessori offers care for enrolled students in both Toddlers and Children's programs before & after school to fit family's needs.
