For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of teaching elementary school students. Along the way, I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year, to become a reading specialist, to earn a Barton certification for multi-sensory learning, and to write, illustrate and publish my own children's books.
Through all of this, I discovered something that changed my heart - The greatest opportunity to shape a child's love of learning begins long before kindergarten.
It begins in the earliest years-when tiny hands are digging in the garden, little voices are asking endless questions, and stories are read "just one more time".
That's why I created Heritage Learning Cottage.
My dream is to give children a childhood filled with wonder, kindness, books, nature, music, creativity, and joyful learning. A place where they feel safe and excited to discover something new every day.
Every lesson, every activity, every story has one purpose:
To help children fall in love with learning.
