The Wakarusa Little League season officially started its games last week for their 2026 season! This will be the third season that Mole Control Services is sponsoring/coaching/playing in this awesome, kids play for free league 💪🏟️⚾️

The Moles currently sit middle of the pack in the standings at 1-1. Following their crushing defeat in the season opener, the kids were “super lit” and full of “rizz” after their first victory a couple of days ago. 😎🧢

With games tonight and tomorrow evening, keep an eye out for the load management report if you’re planning to attend. To preserve them for the hopeful long playoff run at the end of the season, some of our stars may not be playing both games during our back to backs 😏😏😏

For engagement and aesthetic purposes of this post, we’ve attached a few images showing a couple of our team mascots, Layla (gray) and Lilly (orange). Just like our players, they’ve grown quite a bit as well going into their third season on Earth ❤️

As the weather starts to get warmer more consistently, you may start noticing a lot more mole activity in your yard.

As you start watering your lawns and flowers, the moles will come up to tunnel and eat where the food is; which 90% of their diet is earth worms. We all know when the best time to pick night crawlers is, right after the rain storm. When worms naturally come to the surface, so do the moles.

It’s important to get rid of them at the first sign of activity this time of the year. We are already catching adolescents. If they are allowed to stay and live where there is enough food, they will continually spread throughout your yard as the “kids” get older and move out.
