Finally up on our last senior Sunday is Abby Steward! Abby is in our Art 4 class. She is skilled in all areas but has found her specialty in markers and pen. Abby has beautiful line work and her use of color is always spot on! Not only is Abby a talented artist, she is going to be representing the class of 2026 as the salutatorian! Abby will be attending UT in the fall. Congrats to Abby and all the seniors at NHS! You will be missed.

Can you believe graduation is next Sunday?!? This week, our feature for senior Sunday is Olivia Snoply. Olivia is an Art 3 student this year. Olivia is on the fast track in art, really only diving into more art courses last year and has proven her intelligence in the work she has created this year. Olivia excels at realistic works of art, but usually has a creative or whimsical spin to her pieces. Olivia plans to go to Miami of Ohio next year! We will miss her surprising sense of humor in the classroom and her thoughtful approach to art!

Only 2 weeks until graduation! This week's senior Sunday artist is Art 4 student Morgan Reimond. Morgan is highly skilled in representational works but enjoys a challenge and is always looking to try new materials, experiment and push boundaries in her work. Currently, she's finishing up an almost life size dog sculpture! Morgan is highly motivated and keeps us all on our toes with her quit wit. We'll miss her strong work ethic and leadership in that way! We wish Morgan the best of luck as she heads to the University of West Virginia to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

It's Senior Sunday! Meet Jessica Patterson, a senior in our Art 3 class. Jess is multi-talented as an artist working across so many different mediums from sculpture to ceramics to drawing to painting. She really shines when she is making artwork as a gift for people who are important to her--that stained glass inspired ceramic mosaic and the ceramic house are two examples. Jess always has a smile on her face and can find inspiration anywhere. We'll miss her greatly but are excited to see her pursue a degree in Art Education at The Ohio State University. Congrats and good luck Jess!

Stella Gerdeman is our next senior spotlight on this beautiful senior Sunday! Stella is a senior in Art 4 this year who has created some beautiful artworks that represent important relationships in her life. Her representational charcoal drawing of her and Troy is among our favorites with the beautiful contrast and composition. Stella knows how to "tell it as she sees it" and can always make us laugh. We'll miss that straight forward perspective for sure! Next year, Stella will be attending Summit Salon to become an aesthetician. Good luck Stella!

Happy senior Sunday everyone! Adrienne Damman is our next featured senior that we'd like to spotlight. Adrienne is a senior in art 4 with a penchant for detail. Adrienne shows a level of mastery in realism that few students achieve, and she does it through a tremendous time commitment. Several of Adrienne's paintings have taken well over 100 hours to create and have been recognized in various art shows throughout her high school career. While Adrienne tends to be more reserved in the classroom, her uncontrolled giggle that surfaces often is infectious and we'll miss her stable personality and work ethic. Good luck in all you do Adrienne!

Happy Sunday everyone! Kicking off our senior Sunday series, we have Grace Bowling! Grace is a senior in our advanced Art 4 class. Featured here are several of Grace's visual journals over her past four years at NHS. Grace's approach to color and mixed media layering is second to none and she has made it a goal to FINISH an entire journal (something few students accomplish in high school). It's always exciting to see what Grace comes up with in her journal entries. Grace brings a bright and honest tone to any conversation that we will absolutely miss. Grace is looking to go into pre-law next year at the University of Findlay. Congrats Grace!

Art 1 introductory painting projects are finished and the bright colors are just in time for spring! Students had to paint reflective objects with accurate colors using only the three primary colors and white. Wow, we're blown away at the results!
