Last week, students from our Doris Frey Campus had the opportunity to visit Sports Club in Naples for a fun and active field trip!
Throughout the day, students enjoyed activities including dodgeball, tumbling, balance beam exercises, foam pit fun, seated scooters, playground time, and more. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to move, explore, build confidence, and simply have fun together in an encouraging environment designed to keep kids active and engaged.
As EPA continues to grow, we are grateful for community partnerships like this one that help create new opportunities and experiences for our students with learning differences and their families.

This year, EPA joyfully celebrated six seniors as they graduated from our high school program, marking our third high school graduation! These students and families have been part of the EPA family for many years, including some who have been with us since the founding of our school nine years ago.
Although a high school program was not part of the original plan, EPA continued to grow alongside the needs of our students. Out of a deep commitment to serving students with learning differences, EPA expanded to ensure students had a place where they could continue to thrive. In many ways, the journey of these graduates helped shape what our high school program has become today, and their story will always be woven into the story of EPA.
We are incredibly proud of each of our graduates and all they have accomplished throughout their time at EPA. Their perseverance, growth, and achievements reflect years of dedication and determination. They are a beautiful reminder of our school verse, that every student is a masterpiece, deeply known and deeply loved, with purpose and promise for their future.
It has been a privilege to walk alongside these students and families throughout their journey, and we look forward with excitement to all that God has in store for each of them. Congratulations, graduates!

Our North Campus celebrated the Class of 2026 with a special all-day graduation celebration!
The day began with our seniors stepping into the role of “administrators for the day,” planning surprises and activities for the student body including free dress, extra recess, a surprise ice cream treat, and more as they enjoyed one final day together at EPA.
Later, students and staff gathered for a special senior awards ceremony where graduates received personal awards and gifts honoring their unique strengths and accomplishments. The ceremony also included our cherished Passing of the Light tradition, symbolizing the passing on of leadership and legacy to the junior class.
Graduates then walked through the halls of EPA one final time together. Students and staff lined the hallways cheering, clapping, and reaching out for high fives as the seniors made their way through the building together. The celebration ended with a streamer sendoff as graduates were showered with cheers and colorful streamers from their classmates!
It was a joyful and unforgettable way to celebrate our graduates and the lasting impact they have had on our school.

In our high school program at EPA, students are not only learning academic content; they are also building the skills and strategies that help them become confident, independent learners.
In classes like high school history with Mrs. Arnold, students use Thinking Maps to organize information and break down complex topics in a clear, visual way. Lessons are supported through assistive technology, including read-aloud digital text that allows students to follow along and strengthen comprehension through a multisensory approach. Students also take part in collaborative review activities and interactive quizzes that reinforce learning in an engaging and supportive environment.
Across our high school program, this approach is intentional. Students are taught strategies for how they learn best and how to support their individual needs. These tools not only support success in the classroom, but also prepare students for college and career pathways.

What a fun and active year it has been in PE at our Frey Campus!
Throughout the year, Ms. Hartsfield’s PE classes have helped students build important physical skills, confidence, and healthy habits. Students participated in a variety of sports, games, fitness challenges, and team activities that encouraged movement, coordination, and teamwork in a supportive environment.
From basketball and volleyball to running challenges, relay races, obstacle courses, and more, students have had many opportunities to work together and stay active.
It has been a wonderful year of growth and connection as students developed skills that support lifelong health and wellness!

At our North Campus, students explored an exciting unit on space through interactive digital learning, hands-on activities, and creative projects!
As a class, students worked through space lessons using assistive technology that included digital reading materials, audio support, and engaging activities that reinforced comprehension through a multi-sensory approach.
One of the highlights was a hands-on Oreo cookie activity where students modeled the phases of the moon by carefully shaping each phase with the cookie cream.
The unit concluded with individual creative projects on space-related topics such as black holes, Earth, Jupiter, and other celestial bodies. Students showcased their learning through 3D models, paintings, and illustrated fact displays that highlighted both creativity and understanding.

Students in Mrs. Lagace’s Language Arts classes at our Frey Campus “adopted” their very own little chicks as part of a creative “All About Chickens” book project!
Students combined reading, writing, and creativity as they learned about chickens in a hands-on and engaging way. They wrote their own stories, illustrated their work, and completed fun activities that brought their learning to life.
Each student also created a special “certificate of birth” for their chick, adding personal details like a name and favorite things to make the experience even more fun.
It was a creative way to build literacy skills while sparking excitement and imagination in the classroom!

Step Up For Students recognized five of our students as Rising Stars, and we are proud to celebrate them!
From our South Campus, congratulations to Kaitlyn Born and Sawyer Greer, and from our North Campus, Michael Clarizio, Giana Ferreri, and Luca Tolu.
These students were recognized for a variety of accomplishments, from entrepreneurial initiatives to meaningful growth in reading to consistently demonstrating responsibility, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. Each one represents the heart of what it means to learn and grow.
We are so proud of the example they set and the unique strengths they bring to our school community. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for each of them!

Our students have experienced incredible growth this year in our Literacy Labs!
Across both campuses, students are building strong reading foundations through interactive, multisensory programs that support skill development and comprehension. Our Literacy Labs with Mrs. Batelli and Mrs. Wead provide a consistent space where students receive encouragement and support as they work toward individualized reading goals.
One of the most rewarding parts is seeing the joy on students’ faces as they make progress and grow in confidence as readers.
We are so proud of our students and the hard work and perseverance they show each day!

We are excited to share that student artwork from our North Campus has been selected to be published in a "Food Friends" book through the Young Artists program!
Young Artists provides themed national art opportunities for students, giving children the chance to express their creativity and have their work published in professionally produced books. Through this program, students are able to share their artwork beyond the classroom and experience the excitement of seeing their creativity in print.
Congratulations to Audrey Carlton, Carter Olin, Max Allison, Mary Akin, Max Thomas, Isabella Viera, Sarah Winter, and Preston Sharry!
