Here is a reminder of some important upcoming dates.

A lunar eclipse will be visible tomorrow morning, just before sunrise. Unfortunately, peak eclipse happens just minutes before the moon sets below the horizon, but if you can get a clear view to the west, you should be able to see it for a few minutes.
Schedule:
4:50 a.m.: Partial Eclipse begins -Partial moon eclipse starts - moon is getting red.
6:04 a.m.: Total Eclipse begins -Total moon eclipse starts -completely red moon.
6:33 a.m.: Maximum Eclipse -The moon is closest to the center of the shadow.
6:50 a.m.: Moonset

Our 4th Annual PSE Everglades Week is off and running! 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades students have had visitors come to their classes and share what they do to protect the plants and animals of the Everglades.
2nd grade students have been coming to the STEM Lab to monitor the water quality of the water near Parkside, and our 5th grade students have been helping to raise funds for the
Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation and teaching younger students about sea turtles!
All while each grade level every grade level participates in
The Everglades Foundation's Everglades Literacy Program lessons during science class.
Ask your students what they have been learning about the Everglades this week.

Next week is our 4th annual PSE Everglades Week! During science class, all grade levels will participate in special Everglades lessons, learn from visitors from local environmental agencies, and more!
We will also be raising funds to help the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation track sea turtles!
