Step by step reading process to bridge the gap from reading informational text into reading across genres and prose and poetry. Great process for linear thinkers!

Students who excel at math are often logical, linear thinkers. Their brains sometimes turn off when faced with reading fiction or poetry.

Our strategy builds a raft for those students who need to cross the literary river. We do not force them to swim the distance alone. Starting this journey with historical fiction is a great place to push off the riverbank. As they begin reading with us, their skills will improve, and they will enjoy exploring new genres. 📖😎

If your child is scoring well on Reading Informational Text but is having trouble Reading Across Genres or Prose and Poetry, he or she is likely a linear thinker. 📈📊

The Secret School 🏫 When read with our four workbooks, the background knowledge, vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, and writing will be laid out step by step for a great learning experience, while slipping into new material. This will improve test scores and help your child enjoy reading different genres. 🏆
