YAY! More tools for my toolbox arrived last week! 📬
A BIG thank you to Julie Winkelman Frizzi — the mastermind behind all of these goodies!!

Mrs. Frizzi has inspired me since Day 1, when I first attended Teacher Orientation at Collier County Public Schools. Out of the hundreds (and yes, I mean hundreds) of training sessions, her session on the importance of •breathing• and ways to incorporate •mindfulness• in the classroom really spoke to me!!

Julie later helped me lead Yoga Club for the kids at my school, and now, we still keep in touch as friends!
Fast forward a couple of years, and her newest book, Powerful You Self-Built Teens, just launched — and it’s packed with great lessons, including activities that help teens build relationships, increase awareness, boost problem-solving skills, and develop self-management tools.

And that’s not all:

👁️‍🗨️ Breathe and Stretch on the Beach is the perfect interactive listening game to encourage deep breathing, stretching, and relaxation.
👁️‍🗨️ Self-Talk When You’re In A Pickle is a brilliant 5-step problem-solving guide designed to help build resilience in youth.
👁️‍🗨️ Breathe and Stretch You Yoga Cards… I mean, I just can’t with these yoga pose names — SO good!
👁️‍🗨️ And about 100 “I Am” cards came flooding out of the package! Positive affirmation starters like: I am calm. I am resilient. I am… Hello!??

Thank you so much, Ms. Julie!!!!!
LET’S GOOOO!!! (Or should I say… “Let’s GROW!”) 🌱

This is my best visual to get kids to learn about having •f a i t h•!
➖On the left, is the ‘doom and gloom’ 🌧️ : “woe is me”. Living in this space breeds anxiety, fear, confusion, uncertainty, etc. STOP RIGHT THERE 🛑 {I’ve had enough!} Let’s move to the right, shall we?
➖Middle grounds. 🟡 Little bit of faith. Little bit of worry. Still shakey! What’s yellow soon turns into a slippery red slope…. ⚠️
➖I love helping train my clients to get into that green zone! 💚 Full faith! “I trust I am going to be okay, no matter what!” Things will work out! I have hope! Good things are possible, I have courage! I am resilient!
Green means go, baby!

I explain, if we can live in that red zone 🛑🌧️for so long {which, I have, that place sucks…} WHY CAN’T WE (gradually, this doesn’t happen over night…) flip the switch into a world of faith?! It’s a beautiful mindset transformation, but each step in the direction of having F A I T H, gets us closer to living a life of peace! 🦋

helps kids find their sweet spot. The green zone is much more comfortable and makes navigating life a lot easier! 💚💚💚 Together, let’s grow!

Well this is a relief to educators near and far! About time! 👏

This is great news—and a long-overdue step forward.

Red No. 3, a petroleum-based dye linked to cancer in animal studies, has been banned from food and ingested drugs.

It was banned in cosmetics 35 years ago but stayed in candy, gum, and processed foods marketed to kids.

These dyes aren’t harmless—they’re synthetic chemicals that disrupt our biology and offer no nutritional benefit. They’re designed to make food look more appealing, but at what cost?

While this ban is progress, it’s just the beginning. Our food system is flooded with additives and chemicals that harm our health. The real solution is simple: choose whole, real foods.

Prioritize your health. Read ingredient labels.

This is about more than Red No. 3—it’s about creating a future where our food supports our health, not undermines it.

Benefits of practicing gratitude:

🍁Improved mood: Gratitude can make people feel happier and more content.
🍁Better sleep: better and longer (yes, please!)
🍁Reduced stress: calms the nervous system and reduces stress. ☝🏼 (hello, sign me up!) 🍁Improved relationships: helps build and maintain social bonds. (In a world where it’s so easy to disconnect… get back in there and c o n n e c t !) 🍁Better physical health.🍁Increased productivity: Gratitude activates the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for critical thinking and rational thought processes. 🍁Reduced risk of disease, anxiety and depression, chronic pain.🍁 Increased blood flow to the hypothalamus: A National Institute of Health (NIH) study using MRIs showed that subjects who focused on gratitude had an increase in blood flow to the hypothalamus, which controls stress and sleep. 🧠 🍁 Strengthened self-worth: Gratitude can strengthen self-worth.

Just because Thanksgiving is over, doesn’t mean our gratitude practices should wait another 364 days. There is always •something• we can be grateful for— no matter how ‘good’ or ‘bad’ the situation.
