Lely Trojan Marching Band Boosters

Thank you to the new Home Depot for having us be a part of your opening ceremony yesterday! 🧡

We cannot wait to have the 26-27 Lely Band together next week! If you’re going to be in the Band next year, make sure you are here for this meeting on May 28th at 6PM. We will start doing check in at 5:30! Make sure you bring a parent so they can get all the information they need as well! 🧡

Tonight was Mr. Detjen’s final concert at Manatee Middle School as he retires this year.

Mr. Detjen has been a driving force of the growth and success of the Lely Band, in both teaching the majority of our students in middle school, and working with us during Marching Season in the fall. The program that he has built at Manatee will serve the Lely Band for many years to come.

Thank you Mr. Detjen for everything and enjoy your retirement! 🧡

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us in our final concert of the year! Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Guard, and Jazz Band all had phenomenal performances, along with our solos and small groups and solos! 🧡

We have had a busy few days and some HUGE congratulations are in order!

First off, our Jazz Band performed at District Jazz MPA and earned Excellent Ratings! They put on a phenomenal performance.

Our Color Guard Performed Friday at Solo and Ensemble, both JV and Varsity earned superior ratings! They followed up Saturday with their first ever Winterguard Competition at West Broward High School, where they both placed 4th in their classes.

The following students also performed at District Solo and Ensemble at Aubrey Rogers and all did phenomenally! A * next to their name indicates earning a Superior Rating from their judge.

A special shoutout to soloists Brandon Tajeda Rojas and Romel Rodriguez, as well as the Jazz Combo who will get to perform at State Solo and Ensemble in Wellington at the end of March!

All the students have been working so hard and Mr. Riedl, Ms. Gaby, and Mr. Barron are all beyond proud of them and incredible work they have done.

We are now only two and half weeks out from Concert MPA! Make sure to come out and see these students showcase the incredible work they have put in.

Last night, some of our members, as well as Mr. Riedl and Mr. Barron performed at the annual Naples Tuba Christmas! Special shoutout to Courtney who got an award for being best dressed! 🎄

Join us Thursday for our Winter Concert! It starts at 6PM in our auditorium, and our Jazz Band will have a Preshow for the concert! 🩵

Join us this Thursday from 2-6 at The Bean Trolley Cafe! We’ll have some live music, and 10% of all proceeds go to the Lely Trojan Band! Can’t wait to see you there! 🧡
