One of the biggest mistakes families make when hiring a nanny is waiting until they need someone to begin the search.

At Three Flamingos Agency, we encourage families to allow 4ā€“6 weeks for the placement process. This gives us time to thoughtfully recruit, interview, coordinate trials, and ensure everyone feels confident before the start date.

Could you find a candidate faster? Sometimes, absolutely.

Your nanny can only be the very best nanny she can be when she has the freedom and trust to leave the house with your children.

Being a nanny is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world, but staying home every day can become repetitive for both caregivers and children. Even babies and toddlers benefit from new environments, experiences, and opportunities to explore.

When children are able to get out into the community, the learning opportunities are endless. Story time at the library fosters language development and a love of reading. Trips to the playground teach sharing, problem-solving, and social skills. Childrenā€™s museums encourage curiosity and learning through play. Even a simple trip to the grocery store becomes a lesson in colors, shapes, foods, and patience.

The benefits arenā€™t just for children. Nannies are often more energized, engaged, and fulfilled when they can break up the day with meaningful outings. Having the trust of their families allows them to create enriching experiences that support childrenā€™s development while bringing fresh energy to their role.
