😴 Who knew that getting your child to sleep could be as stressful as the SATs at times?!
Infant/toddler sleep can be stressful, but it doesn’t need to be. A quick reminder: you’re doing your best!

From the time your baby is born, practicing good sleep habits can have the most effective results in the long run. If you’re able to learn their wake windows and sleep cues, you’re already on your way to peaceful dreaming and healthy sleep habits. The Huckleberry app is super helpful for monitoring wake/sleep windows in the early months.

Don’t be afraid to use sleep tools like blackout curtains, swaddles/sacks, pacifiers, and sound machines too! Your child will (likely) not go to elementary school still needing any of it.

And while sleep training is a personal preference, there’s plenty of methods and schools of thought on that too. It’s okay to ask the experts for help and advice on what might work best for your family, but at the end of the day, do what feels best for you.

Most of all, remember that babies and toddlers grow and change so quickly and no nap or bedtime will be the same! Give yourself grace and flexibility during those sleep regressions and late night wake ups.
