We celebrate January 19, 2026 to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and also to think about what this day means. As one can often see on the news, much of Dr. King’s message of justice and nonviolence is constantly challenged. As we observe this year’s MLK Day on the third Monday of January, please think about how to engage within your community and to encourage your kids to address social inequities and take action. Or simply, ask your kids to do one nice thing for a neighbor, a friend, or your community today!
