Reminder for Mill Street families: Tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, is Mill Street Night Out at Culver’s, 1515 N Naper Blvd. Take a break from cooking and stop by anytime from 10 AM–10 PM! Be sure to mention Mill Street when ordering so your purchase counts toward our fundraiser.

Tomorrow is also Curriculum Night. This is an opportunity to hear from your child’s teacher and learn more about what students will be learning throughout the school year. As a reminder, this is a brief, parent-only event.

Curriculum Night Schedule:

5:00–5:30 PM: All Structured Learning and PI/HM (invite only)
5:30–6:00 PM: Grades 4 & 5
6:15–6:45 PM: Grades 2 & 3
7-7:30 PM: Grades Kindergarten & 1

Are you new to Mill Street? If so, please join us for our New Family Coffee on Friday, August 21st at 8:30 a.m. Enter through Door 5. This is a chance to meet school administration, Home & School representatives, and other new families!

Welcome Back, Mustangs!

A few quick reminders for the first day of school:

Student arrival and entry begin at 8:00 am
Attendance hours are 8:15 am–2:30 pm

Kindergarten students will meet their teachers on the playground blacktop before entering the building. Adults will be there to help direct students.

All other students should enter the building and head to their classrooms. Staff will be in the halls to help students find their way.

Please make sure your child knows their teacher’s name and how they are getting home. Parents will not be permitted inside the building during arrival. Students are dismissed at 2:30 pm, and all students should know where to meet their family or how they are getting home.

Please make dismissal arrangements with your child in advance. Bus and car riders will be directed to designated locations.

All Mill Street staff will be wearing BLACK Mustang T-shirts for easy identification.

Get ready for an afternoon of sweet treats, reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and getting to know your teacher before the new school year begins!

Overflow parking is available at St. Timothy’s.

We can’t wait to see everyone there! Come enjoy some ice cream, make connections, and kick off the school year with us!

Reduced ticket pricing for our Ice Cream Social ends this Friday!

Join us on Monday, August 10 for an afternoon of family fun, great food, and Culver's frozen custard. It's the perfect opportunity to meet your child's teacher, reconnect with friends, and kick off the new school year together.

Purchase your food and drink tickets by Friday to take advantage of discounted pricing. Tickets purchased after August 7 will be $1 per ticket. Advance ticket purchases will be available for pick-up at the will call table on the day of the event.

While you're there, don't forget to:

• Enter our 50/50 raffle for a chance to win cash.

• Drop off your student's school supplies — we'll deliver them directly to the classroom before the first day of school. (If you ordered through School Tool Box and selected "Ship to School," you're all set!)

An adult must accompany children, and all family members are welcome to attend.

We can't wait to celebrate the start of a great school year with you!
