🎓 Congratulations to Aleksa Myerscough, the 2026 Steven J. Koek Theatre Scholarship recipient. The Steven J. Koek Theatre Scholarship is awarded to one NCHS graduating senior who shares Steve’s love of all things theater.

Steve was a patron of the arts. He was passionate in his participation, which ranged from behind the scenes to the pit to center stage. His love of performing started in high school, and he returned to it as an adult with his involvement in community theater.

🎓 Congratulations to Mya Lukasik, recipient of the 2026 Tom Ulbrich “Welcome Home” Scholarship, named in honor of Tom Ulbrich, who retired after 39 seasons of theatre excellence at NCHS.

This scholarship is awarded to an NCHS graduating senior accepted to a college or university with plans to major in Theatre/Communication Arts.

⚽Back in November, NEF approved an Express Grant titled "Frisbee and Soccer Golf Equipment" from River Woods Elementary teacher Joe DeRooi. The grant funded the purchase of supplies for soccer and frisbee golf equipment. This grant helped students to:

💪Learn about kicking and force
☀️Engage in physical activities outdoors
👥Practice social-emotional learning through group work
