A program record five North Central College baseball players were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections Tuesday for their performance in the classroom and on the field, as Payton Diaz, Caleb Smith, Luke Wallace, Parker Wyatt and Yuhki Yamada earned the honor.

Congrats to all the North Central Alumni on their well-deserved recognition! Former Cardinal student-athletes honored in the 40 Under 40 include Steve Hlavac '12, Stephanie Ryding ’10 Zobac and Natalie Vivacqua ’10/M’12.
On May 21, the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (NACC) hosted its 40 Under 40 Achievement Awards — celebrating young professionals who are shaping the future of the Naperville community through leadership, innovation and service.

Adding his second All-American honor in as many days, North Central College second baseman Jackson Bland was selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association Second Team, becoming the sixth player in program history to earn multiple All-American awards in the same season.

Entering the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships as the No. 7 seed, North Central College women's track and field sophomore Alivia Henkel delivered the race of her career in the women's 400-meter hurdles final on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Henkel became just the second Cardinal in program history to win a national title in the event, while her personal-best time of 58.65 seconds ranks as the fifth-fastest performance in NCAA Division III history.

The North Central College men's track and field team closed out its NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship weekend on Thursday, May 21 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, as Ben Balboa placed 17th in the discus and BJ Sorg was 22nd in the 10,000-meter run.
