North Central’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day events on Monday, January 17, have transitioned to a day of virtual programming, including the College’s annual Vision Day and Prayer Luncheon.

While virtual, the day’s lineup of events will have the same goal of encouraging campus community members to learn about and discuss topics such as race, anti-racism, equity, inclusion and Dr. King’s dreams of justice and peace.

We are looking forward to another great 12:5 service tomorrow! We are excited to hear from Nikki Young, Class of 2015. Nikki studied English Writing and Sociology and was involved in a variety of activities and organizations during her time at North Central including Focus, New Beginnings, Residence Life, and much more.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nikki currently serves as Assistant Pastor at Union Church in Boston. After earning her degree from North Central, she made her way to Boston where she earned her Masters of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology. She is now a PhD candidate in Practical Theology at the same school and incorporates her studies in preaching, trauma, and feminist/womanist theologies into her work at Union. She loves teaching and facilitating Union small groups and Bible studies, leading and preaching in worship, meeting to pray with congregants, and working closely with Union’s ministerial staff and leadership team to cultivate a vision of God’s justice for all people within the church’s walls and beyond. Nikki is also a candidate for ordination in the United Methodist Church.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tomorrow’s service will be available online only, via the Zoom link in bio.

We hope you’ll join us!
