Happy Times Preschool is a privately owned, traditional preschool that emphasizes the development of the whole child, in an early childhood setting. Sandra Owen- Garcia and Elizabeth Owen- Linahon, sisters who took over the school in 2013, own and operate Happy Times along with 5 additional early childhood teachers. Their dedication and love of early childhood shines through their school, through their students, teachers, and families. Happy Times has been in business since 1968 and is one of the very first private preschools in Naperville. 51 years of high quality care has kept this neighborhood gem running strong.
“All our families mean the world to us. The neighborhood has embraced the school all these years and when we were looking to fulfill our dream of owning a preschool, Happy Times shouted family, tradition, and love. Every child that walks through our doors knows they are in a safe, loving place where they can be themselves. They are part of their own community and that is so important for a happy future of school success. We don’t have computers or tablets. We have teacher and child interactions that are meaningful and purposeful, that instill the love of learning through discovery, and hands on play. Previous students from years past, are coming to us to enroll their children into our program. They loved Happy Times as children and want the same wonderful memories for their own children. I think that is the best recommendation anyone could ask for.” Sandra Owen-Garcia.
