Congratulations to our Young Artists Food Friends winners! This is a nationwide drawing competition that invites children ages 4 to 12 to invent and draw their own original character made out of food. Selected drawings from children across the country are compiled and published into a vibrant full color Young Artists book. Our winners were notified during Wednesday’s chapel service. Today was a very special day at Bethany Lutheran School Naperville, IL! Our students found out who were in their Chapel Families!

Each of our kindergarten through eighth grade chapel families met today to discuss the parable of the sower, to learn each other‘s names, to paint a pot and plant marigold seeds, and to do a little coloring activity. The seventh and eighth grade students also prepared and taught a lesson to their group about a hero of the faith.

It’s such a joy to see our older students mentoring the younger ones, and our Littles just love their big brothers and sisters!

Today, our students and staff participated in a fire drill, a routine practice that helps ensure everyone knows what to do and where to go in an emergency.

A fire drill is just one part of our commitment to keeping our Bethany family safe. Throughout the school year, we practice and review a variety of safety procedures, including emergency drills, evacuation procedures, lockdown protocols, visitor, check-in procedures, communication plans, and more.

Our goal is simple: be prepared, stay calm, and know what to do.

We are thankful for our teachers and staff who take these procedures seriously, and for the family, who partner with us and making student safety, a priority. 💙

The conditions could not have been better for our first Cross Country meet of the season! Thank you to our coaches and parents who came out to cheer on all of the kids. Congratulations to our fifth grade runner who won first place! So proud! Bethany Lutheran School Naperville, IL

Our Girls Volleyball Home Opener at Bethany Lutheran School Naperville, IL was a total blast! We had the music rockin’, a ton of fans, and the volleyball was super competitive! We even had Roy make an appearance! (His full name is Roy Al Lion, named by a student years ago.)

Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity Girls on their victories!

Let the Sports Season begin! Cross Country has their first meet tomorrow morning. Let’s gooooooooooooooo!

Our 3rd graders were presented with their Bibles today during Chapel! We pray these students will cherish God’s holy word through the Scriptures their entire lives. They were also given a Small Catechism. Written in 1529 by Luther, it is a short and clear guide to help families and church leaders teach the basic parts of the Christian faith. God be praised!
