Meliora: An Inquiry Based Approach to Learning

Meliora: An Inquiry Based Approach to Learning Who We Are…Meliora is a secondary level, learner-centered project-based learning practice.

We use students’ interests and passions as a springboard to develop their ability to lead lives of purpose as competent, discerning, compassionate individuals. Meliora was created to provide a small, secondary level, learner-directed community that encourages investigative learning. Our goal is to inspire students to pursue their passions in order to develop their ability to lead lives of purpose

as competent, discerning, compassionate individuals. Meliora’s rigorous and innovative individualized educational program expands each student’s competence based on their strengths while simultaneously cultivating their abilities in weaker areas.

The last time some of our students went to National History Day was 2019, with a documentary on Colleen Moore (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y777PwsGkKc). Today, students advanced to history day with their website on the Grimke sisters (https://93324296.nhdwebcentral.org/). Maybe this is project is the next national contender? So proud of the work these studentts have done, and the work students do every year.
