Whether you are a new or returning family, come join us for Popsicles on the Playground from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 at Brookdale Elementary. This event will be hosted on the playground and in our cafeteria. If there is rain, we will move it into the gym!

This is an opportunity to enjoy a popsicle, connect with new families, get a photo with Bob the Bobcat, and "sign" for kindergarten for next year! No RSVP required, just show up and celebrate your rising kindergartner! 💛💙

✨ THAT'S A WRAP! ✨ Our first-ever Glow Dance was an absolute bright spot in the school year! 🕺💃

The gym was glowing, the music was pumping, and seeing our amazing community come together under the neon lights was unforgettable. 🌟

💡 A huge special shout-out to District 204 teacher and Brookdale parent, Emily Cropper! This super fun event was her brilliant idea after seeing the success at her school, and it was an absolute HIT with the bobcats! Thank you for bringing your creativity to our school! 🖤

🚀 We want to keep this momentum going! We are always looking for new and fun ideas to incorporate into the school year. We never want to stick to events just because "they’ve always been done that way." Fresh ideas keep our community thriving!

🚨 WE NEED PARENTS HELP TO KEEP THE GLOW! 🚨

Our upcoming Glow Dance is officially a hit—ticket sales are through the roof! 🎟️ But we have a problem: we are short on volunteers to run our favorite stations.

Without more hands on deck, we’ll unfortunately have to close down some of our fun zones, like Glow-in-the-Dark Face Paint, the Glow Tattoo station, or Glow Graffiti Wall 😭

Don’t let the lights go out on these activities! Whether you can give an hour or the whole evening, we need you. At this point we need more adults as most volunteers are high school volunteers.

The Brookdale LMC welcomes volunteers to read to children during library time, promoting early literacy and a love for reading. Please note that classes visit the library at different times, so readers may not be assigned to their child's specific classroom. To volunteer, individuals must be 18 years or older and complete the District 204 volunteer clearance form prior to their first visit.

World Culture Fair came back this year and was better than ever! We had so much fun celebrating all the amazing cultures at Brookdale despite the cold and snow!

Huge thank you to our chairs Sofia Victoria, Laura Burgess, Diamond Garcia, and PTA board for all the work. We are thankful for all the families and high school students that volunteered their evening to help.
