“This bears repeating…” +MVJ

06/07/2026

I reflect with a grateful heart, humbled by the faithfulness of God as He has shown me grace and mercy over these 19 years of service to the Kingdom. What began as a calling has become a lifelong testimony of sacrifice, powered by the sustaining power of God who called me and kept me.

While I’m thankful for the public victories and pulpit moments, I’m reminded of the prayers on my behalf that only God and the one praying heard, the moments of challenge, the counsel received, and the moments when God reminded me that this work has never been “mine”, as much as the “privilege” has been mine.

19 years have taught me that pastoring is not just preaching, it’s speaking the truth while in the refining fire. I’m thankful that every step forward hasn’t been alone, my wife, my covenant connections, intercessors, and those who have contributed to my journey deserve my heartfelt thanks, and you have it. I’ve learned that leadership is not about position, but service, and even in seasons of burden, His Grace is sufficient.

The same God that’s brought me this far will carry me forward. Whatever is ahead, I pray for more faith, more humility, more compassion, more patience, and more commitment.

To God be the glory,

+MVJ

“The distance between who I was and who I am is filled with lessons I didn’t know I needed. In retrospect, I honor my younger self, not for getting everything right, but for powering through everything I thought was impossible. So, I thank "the younger me" for dreaming, and the older me for becoming.”
