I have been teaching beginning piano lessons in my home here in Napa for 20 years.
My teaching background and degree are in Early Childhood Development. It has been proven that learning to play piano improves skills in math,science and critical thinking.
I have enjoyed the Alfred Series books and feel they expose students of all ages to different styles of music. We learn to read,play and write music. I work individually with each student to develop skills at their own pace and we choose pieces they are interested in learning to play.
Lessons are weekly 20-30 minutes long and I teach year round. I work with parents and students to accommodate the appropriate day and time to fit their needs.
