The American Gunsmithing Institute offers certified distance-learning gunsmithing, machine shop and welding programs developed and taught by qualified trade professionals. These courses are comprehensive, easy to understand and self-paced, enabling students to become experts in a short period of time from the comfort of their own homes. Upon completion, graduates will have the professional knowledge and labor market advantage to seek qualified employment or become self-employed gunsmiths. AGI also offers non-certified courses that carefully demonstrate complete design, function, maintenance and repair of classic and popular fi****ms, boasting the most expansive catalog of gunsmithing courses on the market. Courses offer instruction in disassembly and reassembly, troubleshooting and how-to techniques. Other subjects include courses designed to maximize the precision and performance of shooting and hunting, including but not limited to long range, Cowboy Action and more. Our instructors are qualified and have years of experience in their respective fields. They use detailed step-by-step teaching methods and cutaway fi****ms to provide students with an inside understanding of how fi****ms function and ensure they receive the maximum benefits of each course. The American Gunsmithing Institute is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education and works closely with the Veterans Administration through their Chapter 31 Program to assist veterans in the pursuit of a successful gunsmithing career. We had the pleasure of reconnecting with our friends and partners at the American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI) during this year’s SHOT Show! It was great to catch up with Gene Kelley, AGI’s Founder and President, Ken Brooks, Senior Master Gunsmithing Instructor, and Jeff Quick, Director of Student and Member Services.
