NVC student is semifinalist for transfer scholarship Ashley Hall, an ambitious and "unconventional" 35-year-old NVC student, is a semifinalist for a competitive national $55,000 scholarship for community college students transferring to four-year universities.

NVC's Honor Society students finished out the PTK award season with a spectacular showing for their academic and community achievements throughout the 2025 calendar year!

At the regional California conference in the second week of March in Los Angeles, they collected numerous awards and went on to earn more at the PTK International "Catalyst" Convention in Baltimore, Maryland during the last weekend of March.

The awards included:

"Cultivating Leadership" Award
Cultural project Award
1st Place Most Distinguished Honors in Action Award
Distinguished Advisor Award
Named a 5-star chapter (highest level)
• International Awards
Distinguished Honors In Action Project Award
Top 100 Chapters Award (out of 1300 international chapters)

Last weekend Napa Valley College Honor Society officers traveled to Los Angeles for the PTK Spring Conference where they distinguished themselves by presenting at the conference both on state and in a workshop as well as bringing home awards for their Academic projects! Advisor Cathy Gillis also won a distinguished Advisor award. Congratulations! 🎉👏🏆

Tonight's PTK sponsored event, "The Power of Stories with Dr. Powell" was moving and impactful. We want to thank Dr. Powell for sharing his experiences in Ghana.

Time is running out! Transfer and career bound students should complete their PTK applications by June 16th. Up to 400, $1,000 scholarships are available to students who will be continuing enrollment at a two-year college this fall.
