113 years ago, our Founders marched in the 1913 Woman Suffrage Procession, demanding a right that was not yet theirs. Black women would not see full, unimpeded access to the ballot until decades later, and that fight for access has never fully ended.
That history is exactly why National Voter Registration Day, September 15, matters so much to who we are as a Sorority. Every registration honors that struggle and carries it forward. It protects our voice in the decisions that shape our everyday lives: access to healthcare, the strength of our economy, the quality of our schools, and the freedoms we exercise every day.
Registering isn’t just a box to check; it’s how we claim the seat at the table our Founders marched for. Take a moment this week to check your voter registration status at vote411.org/deltasigmatheta, confirm your polling place, and share this post with three friends. Our legacy is action. Our power is engagement.
