NISDA: Nantucket Island School of Design and the Arts NISDA is values creativity, the environment + culture, multicultural + interdisciplinary education.

NISDA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution dedicated to exploring the inter-dependence of the arts, sciences, humanities and environment, and enhancing education, community and quality of life through the Arts. NISDA has programs for students of all ages and is able to offer college credit for classes and provides artist residences.

NISDA’s Residences offer studio-living, within the beautiful, natural landscape of the East End, with Polpis Harbor a short distance away. Pocomo Point and Wauwinet Beaches are just down the road!

55 Wauwinet is a freshly renovated house with 4 studio/suites. Ranging in size from 362 sf to 590 sf. Each studio has a private bathroom, kitchenette, and is furnished. The house provides common space; an area for living & dining, a fully equipped kitchen, a shared laundry room and 1 parking space per studio. Contact us at [email protected] or call 508 228 9248 for info and an application.

During the summer months….The NISDA Artist Community welcomes emerging and professional artists + educators in all fields including, but not limited to, photography, painting, ceramics, textiles, writing, music, performance, and any interdisciplinary projects committed to the creative process.

From October through May 31 ….In keeping with our mission, our goal is to offer housing to others in the island’s cultural, educational and public service community.

From August 31 - May 31/June 26th (for teachers) In keeping with our mission, our goal is to offer housing to others in the island’s cultural and educational community.

NISDA’s OAR Residences offer studio + 1 bedroom living, within the beautiful, natural landscape of the East End, with Polpis Harbor a short distance away. Pocomo Point and Wauwinet Beaches are just down the road!

55 Wauwinet is a freshly renovated house with 4 studio/suites. Ranging in size from 362 sf to 590 sf. Each studio has a private bathroom and is furnished. The house provides common space; an area for living, a fully equipped kitchen, a shared laundry room and 1 parking space per studio. The monthly fee includes utilities, trash removal, a land line, and wifi. Studios # 1 and 2 are equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. Studios # 3, 4,+ 5 have kitchenettes with means to cook.
