Congratulations to our golf team who picked up 2 wins this afternoon at the WVCC by a razor thin margin. The Trojans shot a combined 179 to better Wilkes-Barre Area's 180 and Hanover Area's 181. Nice rounds boys!

The Greater Nanticoke Area School District is seeking a head coach for its boys and girls swim teams. The coach will be responsible for all aspects of the GNA swim program that is a co-op programs that includes boys and girls from grades 9 through 12 in the Greater Nanticoke Area and Hanover Area school districts. Experience is required, and the successful candidate must provide all required clearances prior to being hired. GNA is an EOE. The deadline for applications is September18, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

It's the first day of fall sports practice! Good luck to all of our teams as we get started on a great year. Our golf team is already well into it and will travel to Tunkhannock this afternoon to take on the Tigers. The Trojans tee it up at 4:00 at Shadowbrook GC. Good luck to them today!

Welcome back to GNA athletics for the 2026-27 year! It's hard to believe but fall sports start today. Golf has the honor of being the first team to compete as the Trojans head to Huntsville CC to take on Wyoming Sem. First tee time is 3:00. Good luck to them today and throughout the season!
For those athletes whose mandatory practices begin on Monday, make sure you have your online registration complete and your physical exam form on file, or you won't be participating.

Monday, August 17 is the first mandatory practice day for our fall sports that have not already started. The first day of practice schedule is as follows:
Boys & Girls Cross Country (grades 7 through 12) - Field house at 8:00 AM
Field Hockey (grades 7 through 12) - Stadium at 8:00 AM
Girls Varsity Soccer (grades 9 through 12) - Stadium at 9:00 AM
Girls Varsity Volleyball (grades 9 through 12) - High School Gym at 9:30 AM
Co-Ed Junior High Soccer (grades 7 and 8) - Soccer practice field at 3:30 PM
Junior High Football (grades 7 through 9) - Stadium at 3:30 PM
Boys Varsity Soccer (grades 9 through 12) - Stadium at 5:00 PM
Co-Ed Junior High Volleyball (grades 7 and 8) will hold their first practice on Monday, August 24 at 3:30 in the high school gym.

Athletes must be registered online and have their Section 6 physical form on file in order to participate.

Tomorrow is the first mandatory practice day for our golf and varsity football teams. Junior high football and all of our other fall sports begin next Monday, August 17. Varsity football will report to the field house at 3:00 and golf will report to the back of the school near the gym to board the van to Wilkes-Barre Municipal GC.
Athletes must be registered online and have their Section 6 physical form on file in order to participate. Football players must complete the PIAA-required heat acclimatization workouts that begin tomorrow. If you miss a day, you cannot begin full practice until you complete them, so attendance this week is a must.
