We've come to our final home football game of the season, so that means it's Senior Night as the Trojans host the Rangers of Northwest Area. Kickoff is set for 7:00 at Chicknosky Stadium. Prior to the game, join us in honoring our Class of 2027 Trojans Chet, Corey, Darren, Conner, Jonah, Landon, Reagan, Stanley, Anthony, JP, Denick and Mark for their dedication and commitment to our program. We will also be recognizing the senior members of our band and cheer squad. Everyone is encouraged to get to the game early tonight to help us celebrate our seniors.

As always, the following gameday policies will be in effect:
• Admission is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students.
• Students below grade 9 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be admitted to the stadium.
• There is no re-entry permitted for students who leave the stadium once they are admitted.
• No bags of any type will be permitted in the stadium.
• Smoking is prohibited on the GNA campus.
• The lower stadium parking lot is reserved for those persons with disability placards, senior citizens (65 and older) and team personnel. Other fans are asked to park in the Education Center and High School parking lots.

In addition, for the safety of our student-athletes, coaches, and spectators, no one is permitted on the athletic field at any time—including during halftime and immediately following the conclusion of the game. Unless you are patronizing the concession stands or using the restroom, please remain in the bleachers throughout the event. Failure to follow field access rules may result in removal from the stadium, restriction from future school events or arrest. Let's bring the energy to the stands and show our support for your Trojans!"

Congratulations to our girls volleyball and girls soccer teams who both picked up senior night wins! Volleyball swept Wilkes-Barre Area 3-0 while soccer shut out Wyoming Sem 8-0. Great night for both squads. Well done, ladies!

It's Thursday, and we've got a full schedule of GNA athletic events including not one, but two senior nights. First up though is junior high field hockey who host Crestwood at 4:15 at the stadium. Varsity field hockey is on the road at Tunkhannock for a 5:00 game with the Lady Tigers. Back at home, we've got girls volleyball hosting Wilkes-Barre Area at the Bozinski Gym. The JVs play at 4:30 and the varsity follows. Between games, we'll honor our seniors, Juliana, Kacey and Haley, for their dedication to the program over the years. Finally, we wrap up the day with girls soccer taking on Wyoming Sem at Chicknosky Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:15. Prior to the game, we'll celebrate Ella, Sophia, Emily and Matilda, our Class of 2027 players, for their commitment to our program throughout their time here. Come out and celebrate with us today and good luck to all of our teams!

We've got more events to keep your week moving at GNA. Our cross-country teams wrap up their cluster meet schedule with a race at Kirby Park starting at 4:15. Junior high field hockey is also in action, hosting Northwest at the stadium, also at 4:15. We finish up our day with junior high volleyball hosting Berwick at 6:00 in the gym. Congratulations to a pair of Trojanette teams this evening. Volleyball took down Pittston Area 3 sets to none while field hockey had a 6-0 shutout of Hanover Area on Senior Night. Congratulations, ladies! Well done!

We're back in school and ready to keep our week going with more GNA athletic events. We start with our junior high cross-country teams who wrap up their season with a cluster meet at Northwest Area HS starting at 4:15. Girls volleyball is on the road at Pittston Area for a 4:30 match. As always, the JVs play first followed by the varsity. Boys soccer heads to Lake Lehman for a 6:00 match on the black turf. We wrap up the day with our field hockey team hosting Hanover Area at Chicknosky Stadium. The game gets underway at 6:00, but prior to it, we will be honoring our Field Hockey Class of 2027 on Senior Night. Come out and celebrate Emma, Liz, Adriana, Brooklyn, Amani and Abigail and all of their contributions to GNA Field Hockey! Good luck to all of our teams today!

Registration for winter sports is now open. For the winter season, GNA offers the following sports:
Boys Basketball – Grades 7-12
Girls Basketball – Grades 7-12
Boys Wrestling – Grades 7-12
Girls Wrestling – Grades 7-12
Boys Swimming – Grades 9-12
Girls Swimming – Grades 9-12

When you access the registration page, you will see two choices: one for athletes who did not play a fall sport and one for those who did. Be sure to pick the correct option for your situation.
If you registered online and were approved for a fall sport, you don't have to go through the full registration process all over. A new physical exam is not required as long as you have one on file from the fall.
If your winter sport is the first one you're playing this school year, you will have to complete a full registration and submit a physical form, signed by a physician in order to be approved to participate.

We're off for the holiday, but that doesn't mean no athletic events on this Columbus Day. We start with junior high field hockey on the road at Honesdale for a 4:15 game. Junior high football travels to Hanover Area for a 4:30 kickoff with the Hawkeyes. Back at home, it's girls soccer as the Trojanettes host Lake Lehman at 4:15. Good luck to all of our teams today!
