The LCCC AllOne Recovery Educational Institute- AREI would like thank the Luzerne County CARES commission for hosting todays event at kirby park. A special thanks to Councilmen Matt Vough and Bob Price and all the wonderful volunteer students from Luzerne County Community College that assisted in the event. The AREI program was grateful to sponsor todays resource day for those experiecing homelessness and substance use disorder.

The Luzerne County Cares Commission and the LCCC AllOne Recovery Educational Institute- AREI at Luzerne County Community College are hosting a community resource day for those struggling.

The event will be held at Kirby Park Pavillion #2 on Sunday, June 27th from 10 AM - 2 PM All CDC guidelines will be followed.

Agencies from across the area will be in attendance to offer on-the-spot support for those struggling with homelessness and substance use disorders. This event includes a food and clothing drive. Donations are welcomed and appreciated. Those in need are invited to attend to receive these donations. If you cannot attend the event and wish to make a donation you can do so until June 20th at the Dropbox Location for the Keystone Mission at 290 Parkview Cir Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18702.

There is no charge for attendance or to set up a table. Agencies interested in participating, please contact Councilman Matt Vough at [email protected]. Tables will not be supplied.

Those in recovery from a substance use disorder are invited to visit the AllOne Recovery Educational Institute table to learn how our program can assist you to meet your educational goals at Luzerne County Community College.

Our overarching goal is to connect those in need with community resources. Space will be provided for one-on-one meetings.

The commission is inviting agencies that assist with education, employment, counseling, housing and other support services to set up resource tables at the park.

Designed to assist those struggling with homelessness, substance use disorder and mental health issues, the event will provide attendees with both food and clothing and connections to services.

The Luzerne County Cares Commission will hold its resource day event at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre on June 27, said county Councilman Matthew Vough, who chairs the commission.
